Here in México the Cempasuchitl flower (cempasúchil, sempaˈsut͡ʃil/, [sẽm.paˈsu.t͡ʃil]) has a lot of uses in Día de Muertos festivities, but in ancient Aztec mythology the vibrant color of_cc781905-5cde- 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_cempasúchil was said to represent the sun, which guides the spirits on their way to the Mictlan, the Aztec Underwolrd.
